My relative received outstanding care from the entire team.
She arrived in the unit with only very small movement and had spoken only a few whispered words in the previous 10 days after her stoke.
The team worked diligently to to get her to the point of discharge, where she could talk, walk with zimmer and was able to communicate again with her family. We all have the feel she is back in the family thanks to the entire team's care.
The team could become even stronger if it was not so short staffed (especially nursing at weekends). Another suggestion is to create a better liaison between departments (physio, OT) to for example not all come at the same time and plan rest time between sessions for the patients.
