"Hospital admission"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

Had attended the Gynaecology ward as daycare straight from GP the week before to have an abscess drained was sent home, on Easter Sunday the abcess had returned and had to back as another day case and have the procedure done again this time I found it more traumatic as was larger and did not numb very well so felt a lot of the procedure the Dr’s doing the procedure were great it was just a painful experience, returned to work last Tuesday after holiday weekend where for a 3rd time was refilling.

This time I was admitted to the ward as my bloods were taken and had a serious infection on board and was commenced onto IV Antibiotics I was also diagnosed with another Gyn condition and also had to be commenced onto Insulin so all in all was quite sick that week and also had a lot on information given to me in one week.

I would just like to thank all the staff from the Gyn Ward @ University Hospital Crosshouse for their kindness and care especially the 2 night shift nurses Carole & Sam they were absolutely amazing the support they showed and overall

Care was second to none and I don’t think a lot of wards get the recognition they deserve but I can hand on heart say the staff on Gyn Ward from Domestic staff to Sister on the ward thank you keep up the great work.

I think it’s good for departments to hear they are doing a good job; although I was a patient I am also a staff member and know the NHS can be badly criticised so credit where credit is due.
