Last year I was struggling severely with my mental health. I waited for quite a long time trying to manage myself then with my GP as I wasn’t feeling better. After several months it came time to attend a mental health assessment, the kind nurse advised I would be placed on several waiting and some referrals would be sent with my permission. One of the referrals made was to CMP in South Eastern Trust.
A lovely Doctor contacted me very promptly for a short assessment and accepted me onto the programme. I was very pleased by this, as other than my GP it was the first professional I had to really help me understand how I was feeling and why.
Dr. O’Hanlon gave me tools and techniques to help cope, and did so with kindness while encouraging me to keep moving forward. Dr. O’Hanlon was my main support for many months and I’ll always appreciate what she did for me. I’ve come a long way since then, still have work to do but I’m so glad I joined the programme. Dr. O’Hanlon truly cares about her patients and I wouldn’t have got this far without her help.
