"Made me feel comfortable and heard throughout"

About: Neurodiversity Services / North Lincolnshire ADHD team

(as a service user),

I had my ADHD assessment recently, completed with Amanda. Amanda was thorough with her explanations, insights and questions/prompting. Amanda was patient when I went off on tangents or over-explained things, as well as patient in repeating bits I didn’t initially understand. Amanda was easy to get on with and made me feel comfortable and heard throughout. Once given my diagnosis, Amanda again explained the diagnosis itself well, as well as the next steps. Amanda gave good advice and tips, and basically was as comprehensive as she could be.

I cannot find any fault or room for improvement with Amanda - she was everything I needed and wanted for the experience.

Hi I am Jo the Manager for the Team. Firstly can I say thank you for taking the time to complete the care opinion form following your appointment with the team. I will be sure to pass on your lovely comments to Amanda who I know will be happy to receive them. As a team and neurodiversity service we are always reviewing our practices when delivering patient centred care to our patients. We recognise that at times things can become very stressful and anxiety provoking regarding people's ongoing symptoms with ADHD. That is why all our practitioners within the team strive to offer a supportive, empathic and caring approach towards our patients whilst they are completing their individual patient journey with our service.
