(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I have been coming to the Auchinleck Day Service for about a year. It is a completely different class, everyone is great and we have a good laugh. The staff all pitch in together and they don't act like gafers.

I was having a really difficult time with my electricity bill at home, I was getting nowhere and the company were taking so much money from me. I came here and I was speaking about it and the staff got me in contact with advocacy who are now helping me.

This has been a great help and I really appreciate the staff for their help. The day service has helped me stay social and is a safe place to talk about what's bothering you.

My name is Ally and I manage the Older Persons Day Care Service in East Ayrshire. It's great to hear that your experience at Auchinleck is so positive and that the staff were able to help you to get the support you needed to resolve the issues with your electricity bill.

Its also really encouraging to hear that you feel the day centre is a safe space where you can talk openly and have a laugh - laughter is often the best tonic!
