From being diagnosed in August 2023 I learned that I would have to undergo a series of medical procedures. This caused me great distress as I have a massive fear of blood and needles.
My wife reached out to the DCC staff and explained how worried I was. I received a phone call from Belina who put me at ease straight away. That simple phone call to guide me through what to expect and where to go made a big difference to me. I felt ready to go and face my fear.
On arrival at my first appointment Maureen and Roisin were there and put me at ease. They offered advice and reassurance getting me through my appointment. On my second visit Therese looked after me and again the genuine reassurance and level of care got me through the appointment. As time went on and I visited weekly, Roisin Therese and Maureen were there and I really believe if it were not for their professionalism, their care and empathy I would probably have sought to avoid treatment.
After and during treatment the staff looked after me really well, always offering a cup of tea, biscuits and time to recover. Liz thank you for keeping me in biscuits and tea.
I can't speak highly enough of the staff in Daisy Hill Day Clinical Centre. I want to say thank you to the staff especially Roisin, Maureen, Therese, Belina and Liz. Hopefully anyone reading this will be reassured that you will be so well looked after and really you will have nothing to worry about.
"If it were not for their care and empathy I would not have gone"
