"The care he got was not good enough"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My son attended Oldam general A&E following an accident on his bike, banged his head hurt his right shoulder and could hardly move his right arm. Pain in his and neck and pain in his right groin .

When seen by a nurse who took is blood pressure he was told because he had an head injury his blood pressure would be taken every two hours. It was not taken again even though he was there for eleven hours.

When he finally got to see a doctor they checked him over and prescribed pain killers. No x-rays were given even though he was in a lot of pain.

He is going to attend the GP and request an x ray but he will not be asking to go to Oldham General. We know the unit was very busy, but still feel the care he got was not good enough.
