"Amazing care"

About: Summerford House

(as a relative),

My dad has been in the care of the blue unit at Summerford House for 10 weeks following his discharge from FVH after suffering a stroke.

His care has been amazing with all staff contributing to his recovery.

I can’t thank those wonderful care workers, OTs and physio staff enough for their patience, kindness and compassion throughout. My mum and I are indebted to all of you for working so hard to get him back on his feet and home safely.

From your story it sounds like both you and your mother might be a Carer for your father. If so, you would be entitled to Carer support from the Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre. Thank you for your comment and advice on carers support. This is most helpful. My mum’s just coming to terms with her new role and doesn’t like to ask for help. I’ll pass on this number in the hope that she reaches out.
