About: Maternity Care / Maternity Ultrasound

(as the patient),

I went along for my second growth scan which continued to show a 99th percentile baby.

Obviously not what I expected as a first time mum, but the sonographer was lovely and explained everything while keeping me and my partner at ease despite all the unknowns.

She had a welcoming, bubbly personality and arranged another scan for us in two weeks as I may end up having to repeat a glucose tolerance test despite normal results first time given the size of baby.

She made sure we understood what was going on and despite some uncertainty about what might end up happening due to babies size, we left happy and content, and really looking forward to meeting our (not so) little one!

I am so please to hear the Sonographer was lovely and explained everything while keeping you and your partner at ease. It is nice to hear that she made your scan such a positive experience.

She delivered person centred care and this is what we strive to do.
