"Rushed appointment"

About: Dr Khalid & Partners

While I typically feel as though I am taken care of, my most recent appointment today was carried out by a doctor that did not seem overly bothered about my wellbeing or comfort. She rushed, barely listened or made eye contact, spoke unclearly about the actions taken as a result of the appointment and, when asked to clarify, made me feel as though I should have understood, despite me declaring a hearing difficulty in an appointment about an ear issue.

When she felt the appointment had concluded, she turned to face her screen without a dismissal/goodbye of any kind, let alone a polite one, leaving me uncertain if I was done or she was simply typing something. She then turned to me as if to indicate I shouldn't still be here, despite not asking me if I was satisfied or that I had even asked all I wanted to.

As it turns out, I did have more to ask, as I had also been waiting to be contacted about a separate test result that had been due to me for over a week. I asked her if the result was ready and she told me I needed to book another appointment for that, with no reassurance as to whether or not the result was going to have an impact on my health and wellbeing.

Overall, I was made to feel unwelcome, uncomfortable and rushed out the door by this doctor in particular, and I feel as though she did not value my time, and I was not worth hers. It is also worth noting I have had a past appointment with this particular doctor several months ago, in which her mannerisms were quite similar, leading me to believe this is either typical behaviour for her or at least not wholly abnormal.
