About: Specialist Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Services / The Admiral Nurses Herefordshire

(as a relative),

My husband had Dementia which turned our world upside down.

From the moment I met the Admiral Nurse, Heather who was assigned to us, she made me feel at ease, and seemed to understand the physical and emotional turmoil I was going through.

We were her first clients so together we learnt a lot about what other organisations could or could not do. She supported us during the various assessments. 

My husband got to know and trust her which made things a little easier for us both. 

I regarded her as a good friend, she was so kind and caring, particularly when my husband passed away suddenly; she was genuinely upset.

I am so sorry to hear of your Husband passing away; this must be a really difficult time for you and your family. Please accept our team's deepest condolences for your loss.

I am so pleased to hear that you found Heather's support to be so helpful and that you regarded her as a good friend. It sounds as though Heather was able to build a good rapport with your Husband too; which is so lovely to hear.
