"A&E experience"

About: Weston General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I put my symptoms into 111. That advised I rang for an ambulance 999. I did and shortly afterwards a paramedic called me back. The paramedic advised me to go to A&E for suspected blood clot.

I went to A&E, signed in at the desk. Within 5mins a nurse took me into a room, I explained the situation and they stated I can tell that there isn’t anything wrong with you and you don’t have a blood clot. I was in severe pain at various points on my left leg. I left and went home.

A&E have sent a letter to my GP practice stating I had pain in my limbs, it wasn’t an emergency and I was advised to see my GP.

I am not happy with this response.

I am not happy with this letter being on my file.
