(as the patient),

It was very stressful situation as he was 2 weeks early and very small. I ended up requiring an emergency C-section.

Although I was extremely frightened, I felt so reassured by all the labour team, anesthesiologists, surgeons, midwives, healthcare support workers, everyone. Despite the pressures they were under I felt so looked after. They were calm and professional and made sure I understood everything. 

My son was born healthy.

I had a hard recovery, but on the ward once again I received top quality care and will forever be grateful to everyone at the maternity hospital at the QEUH.
