I was starting radiotherapy for the first time. As soon as I entered the hospital all the staff were kind, polite, and helpful and very professional, I could not fault anything.

The only thing I could fault was the parking situation, because of the lack of parking spaces it was 1 out 1 in and the queue was down the street. It took me about 25 minutes to get into the parking lot. Where I watched 2 nurses come out of A& E and put another 4 hour free parking ticket on their cars, obviously the first 4 hour ticket was about to expire. This is not fair as cancer patients are bursting for the loo and are stuck in a queue. .

Dear Cali donia, thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience of our Radiotherapy Department. My name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who would have welcomed you to our department.

It is very gratifying to hear that our staff were helpful and professional. I will pass on your kind words, thank you.

Parking is an ongoing issue that our Head of Therapeutic Radiography, Damian Parr continues to take to management meetings. It is particularly disappointing to hear that staff members are using the car park to the detriment of our patients. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and please accept my apology. This issue in particular has recently been highlighted in the NHS Tayside bulletins; specifically stating that staff should not park in this car park. It is, indeed, unfair.

On behalf of everyone here, I hope you benefit from your treatments and wish you well for the future.
