"Lack of communication from Doctor"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Coronary Care/Medical Monitoring Unit

(as a relative),

My Father received a phone call from a Doctor who was concerned about my mother's condition during her admission on the coronary care unit.

This was a lot of information to take in especially over a phone call.

After having some time to process this information over the weekend we came up with some questions.

My father has left a number of messages for the Doctor to contact him and so far this has not happened.

5 days later my mother was discharged still with no questions answered. I understand Doctors are busy. Although it would mean a lot if just some time and care was taken to answer the questions especially after receiving news that have caused us a family concern and worry.

Hello Snowy 32, my name is Lauren Henry, I am a clinical services manager in Cardiology. Thank you for this feedback, I am not aware of the details of your father's case. If you would like to get in contact please email me lauren.henry@northerntrust.hscni.net and I will try to help. Or if you feel you need questions answered another option would be to contact your father's consultant's secretary.

warmest wishes

Lauren Henry
