"All staff were amazing"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Accident & Emergency Glasgow Royal Infirmary / General Surgery (wards 63, 64, 65, 66,& 67)

(as the patient),

I ended up in Resus and sent to surgical high dependency unit at the GRI.

Initially, in A&E, the staff were slightly judgemental and didn't respect me. But once I got to surgical high dependency unit I was treated with utmost care and respect, compassion, kindness and support. genuinely cared for. Very pleased with my care here.

I do find that male doctors are more helpful towards female patients than female doctors. I feel more judged by women staff. I'm pleased to say all staff were amazing.

I've been here near a week and been agitated at times but they've helped settle me .

Send my gratitude to these lovely people. They are amazing. Thank you.

Howeever, psychiatry were initially helpful but rushed me out the door and made errors with my medication causing destabilisation and anger/frustration once again with their specialty.

I'm fed up of psychiatry being like this with me and will potentially be getting a lawyer to look into my care and mistreatment.

But they are the only service whilst in hospital on this occasion that I have negative things to say about. I'm fond of all the staff outwith psychiatry.
