"They really are the embodiment of person centred care"

About: Mater Hospital / Elective Overnight stay centre (EOSC)

(as a service user),

I was warmly greeted by HCA Lisa and Staff Nurse Sijy and SN Lyndsey who made me feel so cared for and looked after. The anaesthetist came and spoke to me and she was lovely, I think her name was Emma, she was so kind also. Dr G Ferguson and another lovely doctor came to discuss the procedure and went through everything with me, I was made to feel in very safe hands.

I was taken to theatre by SN Sijy and a lovely porter. I met Nurses Fritz and Paula who were lovely and the caring staff member who cannulated me was very kind also. I woke up in recovery with more lovely nurses, Dr Ferguson checked in on me and then SN Sijy came to collect me. I also spoke with the EOSU Sister who was just so kind as well. The entire team from start to finish were just lovely and I have to give such a huge thank you to everyone.  They really are the embodiment of person centred care.
