About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Day Case unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My nine year old child attended for Dental Extraction under general anaesthetic at the Day Case Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital this morning. It's a nervous experience for both child and parent but I want to express my gratitude to all the staff involved today. From check-in to discharge, every member of staff went the extra mile to make us both feel reassured and cared for at all times.

This is my second time taking a child for this procedure and on both occasions, I have left feeling very reassured and proud of the NHS.

Finally, thank you to the Dentist, who has cost me £20 under the pillow tonight. Thanks again to all. A relieved Dad.

Coordinate the smooth running of orthopaedic surgical lists in a busy Day case Unit delegating staff to ensure the care given to patients is of the highest possible standards.
