"Interactions with staff"

About: Stoke Gifford Medical Centre

(as the patient),

The members of staff I have spoken to have been rude, aggressive and insulting.

Senior members of staff at the practice have ignored my issue .

I ordered a repeat prescription; they changed my nominated pharmacy without telling me or asking or using my permission. They left it for 3 weeks and never told me it was there.

When I explained this to the surgery, the senior member of staff I spoke to blamed me for this mistake and refused to accept responsibility for this, and said if I didn't withdraw my complaint I would be forced to leave the practice.

I have epilepsy and need regular medication, so this is putting my health conditions at risk .

I complained to southwest complaints, but I feel they have basically ignored it and fudged the issue.

It isn't good but this is just one of many, many problems with this practice.

My dad - who is in his 70s - has heart and asthma and diabetes problems. He went to surgery and saw the doctor, they wanted to see him again in 2 weeks’ time and told him to make an appointment at reception.

When he tried to, the member of staff on reception stood there in front of him and told him in an offensive and insulting manner to go home and do it.
