For four days in January 2025, my husband who has a severe brain injury was admitted to ward 9B with a UTI. The care and attention he got from the team was exceptional.
The senior charge nurse, Luisa, along with her right hand support, Laura, and their wider team, notably Nurse Roisin, Auxiliaries Kev and Kate and other members of the staff on 9B could not do more for my husband, they also let me stay over with him and treated me with the same due care and kindness.
They are true heroes and I cannot thank them enough. Unfortunately, this was our 4th visit to the QE over 2024 & 2025 with UTI issues, though I've got to say on each and every occasion, in differing units, from admissions to stays in wards, we've encountered some amazing, professional, dedicated, caring people, they are all heroes - God bless them all!
