"Suspected Meningitis"

About: Glasgow Community Services / Out of Hours GP Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Acute Assessment Unit (AAU) NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as the patient),

Explained my symptoms to nhs24 team who were excellent and arranged an appointment at Out of Hours, who very quickly assessed me and didn’t hesitate to send me to Glasgow Royal Infirmary Assessment Unit.  I was in severe pain and very distressed but was welcomed into the unit by attentive,  welcoming, professional nurses.

Doctor who came to assess me was very professional and fully explained what was going to happen regarding tests, scans, x-rays etc based on my possible diagnosis of meningitis.  His empathy and knowledge was just excellent.

Honestly cannot praise this Doctor and his team of nurses enough who attended to me and not forgetting the lovely manner of the porters too.

Thank you each and every one of you.  (names remembered - Graham, Gerry, Hazel & Dr Suleman??).

Feeling much better,
