I've already had three attempts at cauterising my nostrils to stop nose-bleeds. Each time the process was painful and left me sore & my nose bleeding and dripping for a day afterwards.
But the ENT consultant who saw me today took the time to explore what was going on, explained the options, & cauterised my nostril again. This time, there was no pain, and my nose felt back to normal almost immediately (though I'm obviously going to follow all her advice about after-care too). After nearly two months of nose-bleeds every day, I'm feeling human again. She's suggested a follow-up appointment too, so I don't feel left on my own.
